POETRY BY FELIESHA WARD
The only thing holding me back is, my own fear,my own indifference, my own resistance.               No rest for the weary,           no time to slow down,            there is no time left, but now.   You cannot assume that tomorrow will always come.               Someday, there will be no more grace periods, no where left to run. Your time will run out, your mission will be done.

EMOTION
Regret can wound, hatred can disable, hope can heal, and love can restore. I can't possibly want more.       But, it's time to move on.        Depending on false security         to see me through.              Hoping I'll attain a purity to fight for what's true.                Opting for a whisper, instead of a shout.                         Looking in, when I should be looking out.                             These petty lies bury me alive,      not ready to lay down and die.        Not as foolish as I seem,            living life like a dream.          Aching for a peace to plunge into. Let it wash over me in waves.       If only I'd stop wandering,       think of all the time I'd save.           By Feliesha Ward
AWAKE
Yes, there's so much at stake, risking my life with each breath that I take.        But, I'm still awake.                Aware of your stares, of those loose ends everywhere, but I'm still awake.   Drowning in the undertow, suffocating under pressure.                    There's no real way to keep going on,  but for now, I will strive,             to get ahead, to dive.                Can't satisfy my pain,              trying not to go insane.                My interest in transformation begins to ware, but there's still room for change. Because with every step I take, and every claim I stake,                           I become a little more AWAKE.             By Feliesha Ward

The world is a wonderful place.  Where dreams are offered to everyone, regardless of sex or race.          No one cares about the color of your hair or the scars on your face.     You could wear leather, cashmere,    or lace.                            It makes no difference, because the world is a wonderful place.         Don't beleive every word your told.  You need to show your true colors, even if they aren't bold.           Expose your spirit,                 and don't act cold.                 Believe in me, as I believe in you.  Yours are green, his are brown, and mine is blue. Mine eyes don't see in just one marvelous hue.              A wonder that he doth seek, will not come to those who are meek.          Because, the world is a wonderful place.                               By  Feliesha Ward

PLUNGE
Watching the beauty of the sea,                     the resilence of foam on black.                     The ocean calms and seizes me,                                     nothing in the world does it lack.                  Waves break over the jagged stones,                 the moon beams dimly, over charming seaside homes.    Have I been sent here or was I simply drawn,        wanting to watch the beauty of the sea.              Immortal and enchanting, waiting forever for you.    My limbs long to plunge into the water midnight blue. The tide carries me out too far,                     I still don't know where you are.                     Knowing it's over now,                             and still watching the beauty of the sea.             Lonely and faded shadows of the mist,        compliment the view,                                 a shooting star will carry a wish, from me to you.   Don't stay on the shore with your feet in the sand,  enjoy the water so free, never knowing death is at your door, all you have to do,                       is take my hand and, PLUNGE.                                                                                  By Feliesha Ward
